SURJ Northland is hosting weekly information meetings and vigils every Friday at 5:00 PM at Peace United Church of Christ in Duluth. This week, as every week, we will host a conversation about the current situation at Standing Rock, answer any questions the group may have, and share reflections from our indigenous partners. At 5:30 PM we will move into a time of candle-light and silence.

The All Nations Indigenous Center has asked that we share our prayers for the spiritual strength of the water protectors. We will invite people to share from their hearts at this time. We do this intentionally to create space to share our emotions, not just our thoughts, and to do emotional labor together. It is our belief that this makes use stronger to show up for movement work.
